Hi, I have uploaded chords of different songs here on this website. And there are some advanced chords as well (like the 7th chords, diminished chords, suspended chords, added 9th chords and more). So, if you are a beginner it may be intimidating to play those chords.
Here is a tip on how to play simpler simpler chords instead
- Instead of a 7th chord, play the normal chord (for example, if the chord given is Bb7, then you can play Bb) which will not sound wrong.
- Instead of the diminished chord, play the chord before that chord. For example if the given chord progression is C — C#dim — Dm, then you can play C — C — Dm
- If there is an added 9th chord given, you can play the normal chord. For example, if the given chord is Gadd9, you can actually play G without sounding bad.
- If there is a major 7th chord at the end of the bar, then you can play the root chord of that song. For example, if the song is in the key of D and the given chord is GM7, then you can play D instead.
